Description:

Laser Underground Works is an established contractor with over 35 years of experience in heavy civil construction. Our projects involve earthwork, water lines, sanitary sewer systems, and stormwater systems.

We are currently seeking a junior estimator and project coordinator to join our team and lead continued growth. As the estimator, you will prepare bids from $500k – $10M in collaboration with the lead estimator. Our typical project size is ~$3M and most of our work is public works. We are willing to train a recent graduate or someone who is willing to ramp up in a new field.

Core Responsibilities

• Follow the existing established process for all estimates
• Ability to interpret civil plans and WSDOT specs
• Reach out to subs and prepare bid paperwork
• Support existing projects: submittals, coordination and back-office paperwork

Education and Experience

• Experience with Excel (must) and Microsoft Project (nice to have)
• Good with numbers and attention to detail
• Self-motivated and proactive in problem-solving
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Clean driving record
• No criminal convictions
• Strong IT background preferred
• Construction management degree preferred
• Great entry level job for college graduate
