Fund Your Future
Baccalaureate Scholarship is open for applications!
We are excited to announce that the Baccalaureate Scholarship (BaS) application will open on January 14! This life-changing opportunity is designed to help Washington students from low- and middle-income families earn a bachelor’s degree in high-demand fields like health care and STEM.
Why the Baccalaureate Scholarship matters
In Washington state, postsecondary education is becoming more essential than ever. By 2032, 75% of jobs will require some form of postsecondary credential. The Baccalaureate Scholarship helps close the gap by providing financial support and career resources to students pursuing bachelor’s degrees in high-demand careers. With the support of WSOS, students can graduate with reduced debt and a clear path to success in industries critical to our state’s future.
Key benefits of the scholarship:
- Affordability: Up to $22,500 is available per student to cover tuition, fees, and other expenses like transportation, food, and rent.
- Flexible usage: Funds can be used at more than 60 colleges and universities across Washington state.
- Holistic support: Beyond financial assistance, WSOS connects students to mentorship opportunities, career resources, and professional networks.

“Earning my degree in mechanical engineering will open doors to career opportunities as an aerospace, automotive, or design engineer. It will provide me knowledge and an education that not everyone is fortunate enough to receive. By investing in my education, I am not only setting myself for a successful future but also paving the way for future generations.”
