Pallavur “PV” Sivakumar
Dr. PV Sivakumar is an accomplished biopharmaceutical executive with over 25 years of experience in the discovery, development, and commercialization of innovative therapies, with a particular focus on inflammation/autoimmune diseases, immuno-oncology, and cell therapy. His lifelong passion for immunology, rooted in personal health experiences during his childhood in India, has been a driving force throughout his career. Dr. Sivakumar is dedicated to leveraging the power of the immune system to address significant unmet medical needs.
Throughout his career, Dr. Sivakumar has built a strong reputation for establishing and executing strategic plans that foster scientific innovation across a broad range of therapeutic areas. He has led cross-functional teams of up to 75 people across multiple global sites, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners from both academic and industry sectors. His expertise spans biologics, small molecules, and cellular therapies, with a proven track record of advancing numerous preclinical and early-stage development programs to clinical trials and successful commercialization.
Dr. Sivakumar holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy and Master of Pharmacy in Biological Sciences from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani. He earned his PhD in Immunology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
