This is a 12-week paid learning experience during which you’ll be able to connect and network with other interns and leaders within the company. Do you have what it takes to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the field, facing off against real-world threats? This is your chance to join the Cyber Threat Intelligence team at T-Mobile for an exciting and dynamic summer internship in 2025.


As part of the Cyber Threat Intelligence program, you’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge tools, threat actors, and advanced analytics. This internship will give you a firsthand look into how we protect our customers and infrastructure from the latest cyber threats – and you’ll be an integral part of the team working on critical solutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with real-time threat analysis and support the investigation of cyber threat actors targeting critical infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the Cyber Threat Intelligence team on monitoring, detecting, and responding to emerging threats.
  • Gain hands-on experience with automation tools, advanced cybersecurity platforms, and network defense technologies used in real-world scenarios.
  • Support network traffic analysis and threat detection across various platforms to identify potential vulnerabilities and incidents.
  • Write and troubleshoot scripts in languages like Python or Bash to help automate repetitive tasks and streamline threat intelligence operations.
  • Get insights into how we partner with federal agencies like the FBI and NSA to mitigate large-scale cyber risks.
  • Participate in exciting research projects, exploring new threat vectors in both Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 environments.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Curiosity about cybersecurity, threat intelligence, and emerging technologies.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addresses, subnets, firewalls, TCP/IP) and network protocols.
  • Basic experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with network traffic analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark) and SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic) is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude—ready to face unknown challenges head-on.
  • A background in computer science, cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A passion for innovation and the drive to make a real impact on the security of millions of users.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR  be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program
  • Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships

T-Mobile requires U.S. citizenship for certain roles within the organization. This role requires U.S. citizenship. Individuals hired into this role will be required to submit documentation proving U.S. citizenship within the first 7 days of hire – failure to do so will result in termination. 

Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.

Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.
